a fresh and modern sound. This CD promises to be high-impact and full of energy with sounds all his own.

as the Stones, Lennon, Syde Barret, Neil Young
and more recent artists like Elliott Smith
and Grandaddy.

Self-taught on the guitar and keyboard, Scott has been in several bands and seriously writing music for the last three years. His previous band, The Koozies, released their first CD, “Seeing through bleu ink” in 2002. That unsigned album sold over 3,000 copies.

I grabbed a copy of your new CD at Target over on San Felipe. Hey, I found out about some of my favorite bands by doing weirder things, so why not?! I'm digging it. Okay, I'm digging it enough to tell people and check your calendar for upcoming gigs, etc. every 13 seconds a Scott McCurry fan is born. so i'm told. yay! I'll use you strategically in my plan to completely turn off my boyfriend to screaming diva nightclub mixes. I mean there is a time and a place, and my bed is not a dance floor. Martial arts studio maybe, but I digress. Groupie stuff aside, I want you to know I'm liking your music bigtime. Keep it up man. Thank you for what you do. I'll keep playing your stuff for my friends and looking forward to a live performance.

Scott, Your music is great, and I just thought I'd let you know! I was at Target today and saw your 'Like the Sun' cd and figured I'd get it. I hate that you're all the way in Texas, do you plan on doing any shows out of state? Sayyy over on the east coast... North Carolina maybe? haha Just kidding, but I saw on your schedule that you played at Momo's in Austin and its weird cause I have a friend in Austin that goes there quite frequently.

Sun. You have an incredible style, and it is nice to hear good music again.
We hope things continue to go well for you, and that we can hear more.

I usually stray away from profanity, but the other day
I was in Target of all place and my fiance must always
go through the dollar spot, and we stumbled upon CDs
and I decided to grab a handful! Your CD "Like The
Sun" was amongst them, and when I got home and it
started spinning I was fantastically happy, I fell in
love with it. I'm going back to Target this weekend
and buy every copy they might have and do a mass
mailing to anyone I can think of that appreciates the
genius of great poplicious music. I hope that
eventually your tour takes you near the East Coast,
for if it does, I'll be there. Thanks for the great CD, it is a work of wonder to me, and is one of the best I've purchased in a long time. |
